Interracial Romance is the last interracial dating site on our top 5 list. Overall, we were impressed by what this site had to offer. The prices are fair, the membership numbers are substantial and communication with others is made easy. The free service is limited but we like that 3 day trial is available so you can give it a try and see if it is the site for you.

Registration

Registration is easy by login with Facebook. The site generates information directly from your Facebook account, including your email address, relationship status and interests, your birthday, location, religious, political views and personal description so you don't have to fill in these info again. It saves time. However, the system censors new members strictly. We used proxy server when we checked the site and our account was closed immediately after we signed up. Personally we don't think this is an issue. It's a good way to ensure that the community is safe, with real people only.

How It Works

Despite that the site claims to be the #1 interracial dating community on the net, we feel that the site doesn't have so many users as it claims to have. There were only 281 users online when we logged in to check the site. The profile page is well organized in a way that members' personality stands out just as much as the looks. Members can also fill in a description of themselves and what they value, which is one of the first things others members will read. As we browsed, a good portion of profiles were completed and the quality of members was good.

Performing a search is simple but very limited for free users. A paid membership will allow you to perform a more detailed search, which is useful if you want to find someone who matches particular interests. Our basic searches provided plenty of results, so things are looking hopeful! You can search members who were recently online, those who are close to you, new members and users with the most photos. Results are presented in a gallery, with a photo and the information alongside. The difference here is that you can choose to restrict access to your photos until you get to know the person you're talking to. This might help if you want other people to appreciate you for how you are, rather than just how you look. The site also lets you know the languages that a member can speak, which is another interesting and useful feature.

If you're a little shy, you can easily let a member know that you are interested in getting to know more about him/her by sending flirt to the member. If you're in the mood to chat, there are also some useful features here. Aside from flirting, you can send an email or start a live chat. It's good that the site also offers audio and video chat so you can hear and see members when you're talking to them. Free members are restricted in how they can contact others, and generally we found that any real communication requires that you upgrade to a paid membership. However, prices are affordable and the site also provides a 3 day trial for $ 7.99 so you can test all features and see if it the site works for you.
